Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to information when you use ralcolor.net (Swatch Ledger). We collect as little as we can.

What we do not do

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics scripts or social media widgets. We do not build profiles of readers, sell data or share it for marketing. Reading the chart and the colour notes does not require an account and does not set any cookie from us.

Server logs

Like every website, our server and our network provider (Cloudflare, which carries the site's traffic and protects it against attacks) keep short technical logs: the address requested, the time, the browser type and the IP address. These logs exist to keep the site working and secure. They are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify readers.

Clicks on shop links

Some pages carry links to shops and affiliate networks (for example CJ, MaxBounty or the eBay Partner Network, and possibly Amazon in the future). When you click one, we count the click in an anonymous daily tally per page area (no IP address, no cookie, no personal identifier) so we can see which placements are useful. The shop or network you arrive at may set its own cookies to record that you came from us, so that a purchase can be credited. Those cookies are governed by the shop's or network's own privacy policy, not ours. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time.

The contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we store your name, your email address and your message so we can read and answer it. A copy is forwarded to our private mailbox. We keep messages only as long as needed to deal with them and delete them afterwards. We never add your address to a mailing list.

The form, like the admin login, is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam check that may process technical information about your browser and connection for that purpose. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details.

Your rights

If you live in the UK or the European Economic Area you can ask what personal data we hold about you (in practice, at most a contact form message), ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to your data protection authority. Write to swatches@ralcolor.net.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, the new version will appear on this page.
