How RAL 1019 reads
Grey beige is really a taupe: muted, mid toned and carrying a pinkish brown warmth softened by grey. It is darker and greyer than RAL 1001 beige and quieter than RAL 1011 brown beige.
Where it turns up
It is a calm choice for interior walls, furniture, shop interiors and garden structures. Taupes look warm in the evening and greyer at midday, so check a sample at both times before deciding.
Ordering RAL 1019 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 1019" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
