How RAL 5022 reads

Night blue is a dark, inky blue with a clear violet cast, purpler than RAL 5003 sapphire blue. It looks like the sky just after dusk.

Where it turns up

It suits front doors, furniture and feature walls. Use a dark grey primer to help coverage; the violet tone shows most in daylight, so look at the sample outside as well as indoors.

Ordering RAL 5022 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 5022" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
