How RAL 6000 reads

Weathered copper is the obvious comparison for patina green, a mid toned blue green that is softer and bluer than RAL 6001 emerald green. It looks aged and settled rather than fresh, and it sits comfortably against old brick or stone.

Where it turns up

It suits front doors, garden metal, railings and shopfronts. Satin finishes look most natural on this kind of green, and a grey primer under it helps the first topcoat cover evenly on bare metal.

Ordering RAL 6000 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 6000" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
