How RAL 6001 reads
Emerald green is a strong mid green with a clean, slightly blue lean, brighter than RAL 6002 leaf green and warmer than RAL 6000 patina green. In gloss it takes on a polished, jewel like quality.
Where it turns up
It works on front doors, gates, garden furniture, shopfronts and signs. Gloss shows the depth best, but it also shows every flaw in the surface, so fill and sand well and check a sample in daylight first.
Ordering RAL 6001 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 6001" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
