How RAL 8019 reads
Grey brown is a very dark, greyed brown, close to charcoal with a warm tint. It is greyer than RAL 8017 chocolate brown and lighter than RAL 8022 black brown.
Where it turns up
It suits window frames, doors, garage doors and cladding. A satin finish keeps it smart, a dark primer helps coverage, and it hides dust better than black.
Ordering RAL 8019 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8019" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
