How RAL 3001 reads

Deep, clean and saturated, signal red is slightly cooler and darker than RAL 3000 flame red. There is very little orange in it, which gives it a serious, solid look on metal.

Where it turns up

It is used on safety and warning marking, machinery, doors and signs. Several thin coats over a suitable primer give the most even finish; if matching existing paint, compare it side by side with RAL 3000.

Ordering RAL 3001 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 3001" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
