How RAL 3016 reads

Coral red is a warm, mid red with a clear orange lean, lighter and more orange than RAL 3013 tomato red. It reads lively and slightly earthy, like terracotta with more life in it.

Where it turns up

It suits doors, garden furniture, machinery and signs. Prime with a light grey or red tinted primer for good coverage, and look at the sample in daylight before ordering.

Ordering RAL 3016 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 3016" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
