How RAL 5014 reads

Pigeon blue is a soft, greyed mid blue with a faint lilac tone, lighter than RAL 5007 brilliant blue. It looks gentle and slightly dusty, like a pigeon's wing.

Where it turns up

It suits interiors, front doors, sheds and furniture. Greyed blues read lighter on large surfaces than on a chip, so test a large patch on the actual wall or door before buying a full tin.

Ordering RAL 5014 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 5014" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
