How RAL 6020 reads
Chrome green is a dark, slightly olive green, lighter and warmer than RAL 6009 fir green and greener than RAL 6015 black olive. It looks solid and traditional, a working green for metal.
Where it turns up
It suits gates, railings, sheds and machinery. A dark primer helps coverage, and satin is a good choice where the surface has old pitting or dents to hide.
Ordering RAL 6020 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 6020" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
