How RAL 8002 reads
Signal brown is a mid reddish brown with a soft, slightly greyed warmth. It is less orange than RAL 8004 copper brown and lighter than RAL 8012 red brown.
Where it turns up
It works on doors, fences, garden buildings and machinery. Check samples in daylight, as reddish browns can look dull under artificial light.
Ordering RAL 8002 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8002" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
