How RAL 1013 reads
Oyster white is a soft off white with a warm, greyish beige cast, a long way from a crisp white. It is creamier than RAL 9002 grey white and less yellow than RAL 1015 light ivory.
Where it turns up
It is popular for interior walls, kitchen units, window frames and radiators where pure white feels too stark. Use a white primer, and judge the sample against your existing white woodwork, because the warmth shows most by contrast.
Ordering RAL 1013 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 1013" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
