How RAL 1034 reads
The name misleads: pastel yellow is a muted apricot orange, not a pale yellow. It is softer and pinker than RAL 1033 dahlia yellow and slightly deeper than RAL 1017 saffron yellow.
Where it turns up
It suits interiors, children's furniture, garden pots and decorative metal. Because the name suggests something paler, order a sample before buying in volume.
Ordering RAL 1034 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 1034" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
