How RAL 3011 reads

Brown red is a deep red with a brownish warmth, redder than RAL 3009 oxide red and darker than RAL 3002 carmine red. It looks warm, solid and a little traditional.

Where it turns up

It works on doors, gates, garden buildings and vintage machinery. Use a red oxide or grey primer and compare samples in daylight, as it can read more brown indoors.

Ordering RAL 3011 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 3011" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
