How RAL 3004 reads

A dark, cool, wine toned red with a faint purple cast, purple red is deeper than RAL 3003 ruby red and a little lighter than RAL 3005 wine red. In shade it can look almost brown.

Where it turns up

It suits front doors, shopfronts, furniture and interior accents. View the sample outdoors on an overcast day as well as in sun, because dark reds lose their colour quickly in poor light.

Ordering RAL 3004 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 3004" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
