How RAL 4001 reads
Red lilac opens the violet group with a muted, mid toned purple carrying a warm pink cast. It is softer than RAL 4008 signal violet and looks dusty and gentle rather than bold.
Where it turns up
It suits interiors, furniture, front doors and decorative metal. Purples change a lot under artificial light, so view the sample in the room it is meant for.
Ordering RAL 4001 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 4001" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
