How RAL 4002 reads

Red violet leans more to red than to violet, a deep berry colour warmer than RAL 4004 claret violet. It reads like a dark raspberry or a glass of red wine held to the light.

Where it turns up

It works on front doors, furniture and accent walls. Use a grey primer and check the sample in both daylight and lamplight.

Ordering RAL 4002 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 4002" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
