How RAL 4005 reads
Lavender in shade is a fair picture of blue lilac, a soft, mid toned purple with a cool blue lean. It is bluer than RAL 4001 red lilac and calmer than RAL 4008 signal violet.
Where it turns up
It suits interiors, furniture, bikes and garden accents. Check samples in daylight, because blue purples can look grey under cool LED lighting.
Ordering RAL 4005 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 4005" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
