How RAL 6008 reads
Brown green is a dark, muddy olive with a clear brown cast, warmer than RAL 6006 grey olive and duller than RAL 6007 bottle green. It reads like wet earth under a hedge, quiet and natural.
Where it turns up
It works on sheds, fencing, machinery and garden furniture where something should blend into planting. Satin or matt finishes keep it looking natural, and it hides dirt and splashes well.
Ordering RAL 6008 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 6008" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
