How RAL 6015 reads
Black olive is a very dark grey with a slight olive cast, close to RAL 6006 grey olive but a touch greyer. Many people see it simply as a soft charcoal until it sits beside a true neutral.
Where it turns up
It suits window frames, doors, gates and garden buildings. Satin keeps it calm; if you are choosing a dark neutral for frames, compare it with RAL 7021 black grey and RAL 7016 anthracite grey.
Ordering RAL 6015 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 6015" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
