How RAL 7004 reads

Signal grey is a neutral, light to mid grey with almost no colour cast, lighter than RAL 7005 mouse grey. It is a plain, honest grey that works as a background for almost anything.

Where it turns up

It suits machinery, enclosures, frames and interiors. A matching grey primer gives even coverage, and a satin finish is easy to keep clean.

Ordering RAL 7004 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 7004" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
