How RAL 7008 reads
Khaki grey is the warmest and most coloured of the greys: a mid toned khaki with a yellow brown cast. Next to RAL 7006 beige grey it looks distinctly more yellow.
Where it turns up
It suits machinery, sheds and garden equipment. Matt or satin keeps it natural; gloss can make it look like a brown rather than a grey.
Ordering RAL 7008 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 7008" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first.
