How RAL 8008 reads
Olive brown is a mid to dark brown with a yellow olive cast, greener than RAL 8007 fawn brown and lighter than RAL 8011 nut brown. It reads like wet bark after rain.
Where it turns up
It suits garden buildings, fences, machinery and gates. Matt or satin keeps it earthy; gloss can make it look plasticky, especially on large flat panels.
Ordering RAL 8008 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8008" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
