How RAL 8000 reads
Green brown opens the brown group with a mid toned olive brown carrying a yellowish khaki cast. It is greener than RAL 8001 ochre brown and looks like dry earth on a summer path.
Where it turns up
It suits garden buildings, fences, machinery and outdoor furniture. Matt or satin finishes look most natural, and a sample beside nearby timber or stone shows whether the green cast works.
Ordering RAL 8000 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8000" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
