How RAL 8015 reads
Chestnut brown is a dark brown with a red cast, slightly less red than RAL 8012 red brown and lighter than RAL 8016 mahogany brown. It looks warm and rich.
Where it turns up
It works on front doors, garden furniture, fences and window frames. Check samples in daylight, because the red warmth shows best there and can vanish under cool indoor light.
Ordering RAL 8015 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8015" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
