How RAL 8011 reads
Nut brown is a dark, warm brown like a hazelnut shell, darker than RAL 8007 fawn brown and lighter than RAL 8014 sepia brown. It looks homely and traditional.
Where it turns up
It suits front doors, window frames, garden furniture and fences. A dark primer helps coverage, satin shows the warmth best, and touch up paint is easy to blend on browns.
Ordering RAL 8011 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8011" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
