How RAL 1024 reads
Earthy and mellow, ochre yellow is a mid toned golden brown like the natural pigment it is named after. It is warmer than RAL 1011 brown beige and much duller than RAL 1005 honey yellow.
Where it turns up
It suits render, garden walls, timber cladding, doors and vintage vehicles. Earth tones look more saturated in gloss, so a matt or eggshell finish usually looks more natural on buildings.
Ordering RAL 1024 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 1024" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
