How RAL 2000 reads

Yellow orange opens the orange group: a warm, strong shade still carrying plenty of yellow, deeper than RAL 1028 melon yellow and less red than RAL 2004 pure orange. It has the look of thick cut marmalade.

Where it turns up

Oranges like this appear on machinery, municipal equipment, signs and garden accents. Choose an exterior grade topcoat, as strong oranges can fade in full sun, and prime with white or light grey.

Ordering RAL 2000 in paint or powder

Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 2000" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
