How RAL 7038 reads
Agate grey is a light grey with a slight green cast, darker than RAL 7035 light grey and cooler than RAL 7032 pebble grey. It looks soft and clean, a quiet background for machinery or walls.
Where it turns up
It suits interiors, machinery, cladding and cabinets. A light grey primer gives even coverage, and satin is easy to keep clean on surfaces that get handled.
Ordering RAL 7038 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 7038" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
