How RAL 8023 reads
Orange brown is a warm, light brown with a strong orange cast, more orange than RAL 8001 ochre brown and lighter than RAL 8004 copper brown. It looks like terracotta.
Where it turns up
It suits garden furniture, front doors, cladding and decorative metal. A satin finish keeps it natural; check samples in sunlight, as strong oranges in browns look much brighter outdoors.
Ordering RAL 8023 in paint or powder
Quote the number, not just the name: say "RAL Classic 8023" and add the gloss level, the product type (wall paint, metal paint, powder, aerosol) and the surface. The same number mixed by two makers, or in two gloss levels, can look slightly different, so keep a whole job in one batch and look at a sample in daylight first. The paint counter guide covers the questions to ask.
